With This Man. (book 4 in the This Man series.) By Jodi Ellen Malpas.

If you haven’t read the first 3 books in this series and you like a fantastic steamy romance then give this review a miss until you’ve discovered the Lord of the manor, Jesse Ward. (You won’t be disappointed)

Jesse Ward is back in the newest novel in the Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling This Man series!

Life is good for Jesse ‘The Lord’ Ward. Perfect, actually. He still has the charm, he’s in great shape, and he still reduces his wife, Ava, to a pool of desire with a mere look. He’s in full control, just how he likes it.

But Jesse’s perfect world falls apart when a terrible accident lands Ava in hospital with a life-threatening head injury. Devastated and angry, he feels like his entire existence hangs in the balance. He cannot survive without this woman’s love. So when she finally comes around, his shaking world begins to level out. But his nightmare doesn’t end there. It’s only just begun. Because his wife can’t remember the last sixteen years of her life. That’s all of him. All of their time together. He is a stranger to her.

Now Jesse must do whatever it takes to find her memories . . . and help her fall madly, passionately in love with him all over again.

Rating. 5 Stars

First off, if you haven’t read the first 3 books then please read them before picking up this one. This is a series that I don’t think can be read as a standalone.

Jesse and Ava are still happy (despite Jesse’s freak out about turning the big 5-0), completely in love and adore their family. The book opens on ‘central Jesse cloud 9’ that is until Jesse gets a phone call and goes on to discover that Ava has had a terrible accident. After several harrowing days Ava awakens from a coma to discover that she has no memory of the last 16 years of her life. No memory of Jesse and no memory of their twins Jacob and Maddie.

Without spoiling the book I will say that this is probably the best book of the series! That’s saying something because the This Man series had been fantastic from page 1. Jesse and Ava are not on this journey alone and we see plenty of the characters that we have grown familiar with throughout the series.
With This Man has highs, lows and heartbreak and is everything that we have come to expect from the hugely talented mind of Jodi Ellen Malpas. Start reading in 3, 2, 1…. zero baby.
