Revised Origins is currently doing this challenge which made me aware of it.(Check out her blog. It’s fabulous) I am going to give it a go during August. The challenge originated, it appears, with Good Books & Good Wine, so credit for the prompts goes to them – Tasha
Day 14:Tell us your deal breakers.
I have 2 big ones. Books that have a lot of focus on childhood abuse. I don’t want to read something that truly disturbs me. I have read those ‘I got through it- here’s my story’ books and they horrified me so I avoid books where that is a focus.
The second deal-breaker for me is religious books. I am not religious and having been made to go to church as a child (until I refused and shared my beliefs) I just don’t enjoy any aspects of religious books.
Both of these things sometimes come up in the books that I read but they are not the main story and they are not referred to extensively.
Day 15: Who are your book blogging mentors?
There are a few and they know who they are. I started blogging without a clue, and have been amazed at the support and help bloggers offer each other. So, rather than name one blogger I will name a Facebook Group: Book Bloggers Group It is so full of support and guidance and one of the people that I consider my mentor runs that group. Check out her beautiful blog Books and Bindings
We are a community, not a competition and it’s a great community.
This concludes the 15 day book blogger challenge. (I did the last 2 today as I have quiet a few reviews coming up) it’s been fun.
